always easy – but if it were, it’d
somehow feel less rewarding, right? Just
10 years young, the business is still
small enough that everybody knows each other,
enjoys a night out

what’s it like at QBT..?
Never
a dull moment! : Our clients get
dealt new challenges daily in their line of business – and
that means that we
do too. We deal with all kinds of technologies and our clients come
from all
types of businesses. We've seen the same commercial challenge solved
many times
over - but with varying budgets, varying timeframes and varying
technologies.
This means that we are continually required to find new ways to solve
old
problems (and vice versa!) – all the time pushing the
boundaries of our skills
and education..
Different
Day / Different client : Our
job is “out there” (insert finger pointed at window
for full effect…). Since we
only make a difference when we’re with a client, we tend to
spend the majority
of our time with them. Imagine being stuck indoors and doing the same
humdrum stuff
all day, every day. ZZZZZZ…. Join us and forget that. QBT
staff are
expected to be well versed in a wide variety of technologies and
constantly
strive to stay abreast of new developments. So for that, we
maintain a
healthy "toys" budget - dedicated to purchasing and testing emergent
trends so that we can advise clients with conviction.
Love
your work : Since most of our time
is spent with clients, those clients often
regard us as one of them and it's common for
us to find our names on the client's internal
staff lists, footy-tipping comps & birthday
cake lists! Now, it’d be easy to down-play
what we do as just being the “IT Guys”
who appear when computers go bad… But
we’d say it's so much more than that. The
systems we design, implement and lovingly tend
– are the “glue” that hold
many client’s businesses together. The
very technology that enables a modern business
to thrive, can be its Achilles heel if its unreliable,
unavailable or unsupportable.. That the client
entrusts us to look after these systems is an
honour – and one we guard jealously. And
besides, it feels kinda neat to help a client
who’d be otherwise lost in a mire of
TLA’s (Three Letter Acronyms)
The
sky’s the limit! : QBT Consulting
is a young company but rooted in strong management
discipline and family-like ideals. Unlike many
of our competitors, we've maintained a profitable,
steady & controlled growth plan from the
day we opened the doors 10 years ago. We're
not of the
"fill & spill" mentality, that’s way
too hard to manage and leaves you with no friends.
We figure that a balanced, planned growth
